Y1 Custom Terms and Conditions

  1. General

At Y1 Custom, we prioritise client satisfaction and product quality. All garments undergo stringent quality control during production and before shipping. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.

  1. Orders, Cancellations, and Changes
  • No Cancellations: Once payment has been received, you cannot cancel your order. This is in line with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which states that bespoke or custom-made items are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right.
  • No Changes: After payment is received and your order is in production, no changes can be made. This includes adding or removing products or altering personalisation details.
  • Accuracy of Provided Details: Please ensure that all details, such as initials, names, or sizing, are entered correctly when placing your order. We will produce your custom items based on the information provided by you on your order form. We cannot be held responsible for any errors or mistakes (e.g., incorrect initials, spelling errors, or wrong sizes) once the order has been submitted.
  1. Payment

All payments must be made in full before your order enters production. Production will not begin until the payment has been received and cleared in our bank account. Please be aware that there may be a delay of a few days between when the payment is sent and when it is reflected in our account. The lead time for your order will only start once we have confirmed receipt of funds. You will receive an email from us confirming this, at which point no cancellations or changes can be made.

  1. Product Variations and Allowances

Due to the bespoke nature of production, there may be slight variations during the production process. These variations arise because each item is individually hand crafted, often involving unique materials and techniques that can result in minor differences.

  • Colour Variations: Slight differences in colour may occur year on year due to natural variations in the materials we source from suppliers. This includes repeat orders, where we cannot guarantee an exact colour match from previous years. As a result, any colour variation between orders from different years is not eligible for a refund or remake.
  • Size Allowances: Garments are made by hand and hence measurements provided in size guides have a tolerance of up to +/- 2cm from the size chart.
  • Weight Allowances: Fabric weight may vary by up to 5% from the indicated grams per square metre (gsm).

Repeat Orders

For repeat orders, please be aware of the following:

  • Colour Variations: Due to natural differences in materials, we cannot guarantee an exact colour match between your repeat order and any previous orders.
  • Size and Weight Allowances: Garments are handcrafted, with a tolerance of up to +/- 2cm in sizing and a potential variation of up to 5% in fabric weight.
  • Embroidery Variations: There may be slight discrepancies in the size and colour of embroidery between orders due to changes in materials and production processes.
  • Matching Previous Orders: To assist us in matching your repeat order as closely as possible, please provide photographs of the front and back of your previous fleece or garment.
  • Supplier and Material Changes: Due to changes in our supply chain, exact matches in construction, embroidery, or materials cannot always be guaranteed.

If the repeat order falls within these allowances, it will not be eligible for a refund or remake.

  1. Faulty or Damaged Products

In line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, bespoke items must still meet the expected standards of quality and match the description provided. If the product is faulty:

  • Right to Reject: You have the right to reject the product within 30 days of receiving it if it is faulty or does not match the specification provided in the order form (bearing in mind the points in 4.). We will offer a full refund upon return of the product.
  • Repair or Replacement: If a clear fault with the garment is identified after 30 days but within six months, we will offer a repair, replacement, or partial refund (but only if a repair or replacement is not possible). Please note, faults caused by normal wear and tear or issues resulting from incorrect washing or care of the garment are not valid reasons for a repair, replacement, or refund.
  • Non-Faulty Bespoke Items: Due to the custom-made nature of our products, non-faulty items cannot be returned. This is supported by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which exempts bespoke or custom-made items from the usual return rights.
  1. Returns Policy
  • As all products are custom-made, returns are only accepted if the garment is delivered faulty, stained, or defective beyond the stated allowances.
  • Any claims must be submitted within 14 calendar days of receiving your order, detailing the issue.
  • We are not responsible for any loss or damage during return shipment. It is advised that customers use tracked services when returning products as Y1 Custom are not liable for lost shipments.
  1. Risk and Ownership
  • Risk in the products passes to you once they are delivered to the specified delivery address provided when the order is placed. If the parcel is delivered to a neighbor or alternative address (as per your delivery instructions or local delivery practices), the risk still transfers to you at the point the courier marks the package as "delivered." Ownership of the products will transfer to you once full payment is received.
  1. Governing Law

These terms and conditions, and any disputes arising in connection with them, are governed by English law and fall under the jurisdiction of the English courts.

  1. Consent

By using our website or making a purchase, you consent to these terms and conditions, including our return and refund policy.



Y1 Custom Returns Policy

At Y1 Custom, we take great care in the production and quality control of our bespoke products. As all garments are custom-made specifically for each order, we only accept returns in the event of a fault, defect, or error that goes beyond the stated allowances. Please read the policy below to understand the process for submitting a return request.

  1. Eligibility for Returns
  • Returns are only accepted if the garment is delivered faulty, stained, or defective beyond the allowances outlined in our Terms and Conditions. 
  • We do not accept returns for non-faulty items, as all orders are custom-made to your specifications. This is in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which states that bespoke or custom-made items are exempt from the usual return and cancellation rights.
  1. Reporting a Fault

If you believe you have received a faulty product, you must submit a return request within 14 calendar days of your order being delivered. To initiate the return process, please contact us at nct-operations@y1sport.com and include the following information:

  • Y1 Order ID: Please provide your full Y1 Custom order reference provided on your order form (e.g. C00000-AAA-AAA-24-01).
  • Images of the Fault: You must provide clear images of every single fault on the garment(s). We require a separate image for each defect across all products in the order.
  • Description of the Issue: Along with the images, please include a brief but clear explanation of the fault(s) identified in the product(s).

Once we receive this information, our team will review the case and determine whether the product is eligible for a return, replacement, or refund.

  1. Important Notes
  • Faults caused by improper handling, washing errors, or general wear and tear are not eligible for return, replacement, or refund.
  • We will not accept returns for non-faulty custom-made items, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which exempts bespoke or custom-made products from standard return rights under UK consumer law.

Y1 Custom Referral Scheme Terms and Conditions

By participating in the Y1 Custom Referral Scheme, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Referral Code and Participation
    • Once accepted into the referral scheme, you will receive an email containing your unique referral code.
    • This referral code must be provided by the referred customer on the completed order form at the time of placing their order.
  • Please note only one referral code can be used per order.
    1. Rewards for Successful Referrals
    • A referral is considered successful when the referred customer places an order, and full payment has been received.
    • For each successful referral, the person who provided the referral code will receive £30, paid on the 1st working day of each month.
    • The customer using the referral code will receive the cheapest item in their order for free. Please note this only covers the cost of the base item, and any additional personalisations (such as logos or initials) will be charged at the standard rate.
    1. Minimum Order Quantity
    • The referral code can only be applied to orders that meet the specific minimum order quantity (MOQ) for the product. The standard MOQ is 15 items, but in some cases, such as for specific products like boonie hats, the MOQ may be higher (e.g., 30 items).
    1. Unlimited Referrals
    • There is no cap on the number of times your referral code can be used. You are encouraged to refer as many customers as you wish.
    1. Payment and Conditions
    • Referral payments will be made to the individual who owns the referral code on the 1st working day of each month for all successful referrals from the previous month.
    • Payments will only be made once the referred customer’s order has been fully paid for and processed.
    1. General Terms
    • Y1 Custom reserves the right to amend or cancel the referral scheme at any time without prior notice. 
    • Any changes to the referral scheme will be communicated to participants via email; however, please note that you must be signed up to receive marketing communications from Y1 Custom in order to receive these updates. 
    • The referral scheme is also subject to the general Y1 Custom Terms and Conditions.
