Step-by-Step Guide to our brand new Kit Designer

The Y1 Kit Designer is back and better than ever.
We’ve levelled up our design experience with more products, more features, and even smoother ordering.


Now you can bring your stash ideas to life in 3D, play around with colour combinations in real-time, and easily share your design with your team before ordering. Whether you’re creating retro quarter zips, retro rugby shirts, hoodies, or playing kit, the process has never been quicker or more creative.

Step 1: Head to the Y1 3D Kit Designer

You’ll be greeted by our sleek new 3D interface where you can spin, zoom, and explore your garment from every angle.

If you get stuck along the way you can Request Interest on your design and an account manager will be in touch in no time to help you out.

Step 2: Choose Your Product

Choose between our Leisurewear or Performance range. Leisurewear is all your off pitch kit and Performance is your playing kit!

Start by selecting the product and the design you want to personalise. For this example, we’re choosing the Retro Quarter Zip Fleece, the Y1 Custom best-seller and the ultimate uni staple.

Step 3: Make it yours

Now the fun begins.
Use the colour menu on the left-hand side to customise each panel of your fleece. We have over 36 colour options to choose from.

Step 4: Add Your Logos and Text

It's time to personalise it - Click ‘Add Logo’ to upload your team, society, or sponsor logo. Adjust the placement, size, and alignment directly on the 3D model to get it spot on, remember you can also remove the background on your logo to make it look more professional.

Then, use ‘Add Text’ to include player initials or numbers, club names, or committee positions. You can choose from colours to match your style. 

Reminder that adding initials or text on the back is an extra £3.50 per personalisation and needs to be on the design to be put into your order.

Step 5: Adding your personalisations & Checkout

When your design is finalised, hit 'Your Order' - Here you can add your quantities and upload a spreadsheet with all your personalisations, or you can go into 'Player Details' and add your teams order player by player.

💡 Tip: When uploading the spreadsheet with all your personalisations, make all columns super clear so we don't get any errors. But don't panic, everything is checked before it's put into production.

Please know that every order is checked by our design team before production begins, so you can be confident your logos, colours, and personalisations are perfect.

Step 6: Final Steps & We’ll Handle the Rest

Once your order’s confirmed, we’ll:
✅ Review your design in detail.
✅ Reach out via email to get everything checked with you and make tweaks if needed.
✅ Send it into production once you have signed off your design.

Our lead times are approximately 8-10 weeks and VAT and shipping is included in our pricing.
